Bay Area Home Market ("we," "us") operates bayareahomemarket.com, a listings platform that lets users in the San Francisco Bay Area post furniture for sale ("Listings") and contact each other to arrange a sale. We do not buy, sell, inspect, authenticate, ship, or take possession of any item listed on the platform, and we are not a party to any transaction between users.
All payment, pickup, delivery, and exchange of items happens directly between the buyer and seller, outside of Bay Area Home Market. We do not process payments, verify funds, or guarantee any transaction. You are responsible for exercising your own judgment before meeting a stranger or exchanging money and goods.
Seller ratings, response rates, sale counts, and any "verified" indicator shown on a profile reflect data recorded by our systems and, where applicable, a manual review process. These signals are provided for convenience and do not guarantee a seller's honesty, the accuracy of a listing, or the condition of any item. Use your own judgment in addition to any signals shown.

We may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.
If you encounter a listing or user that violates these terms or that you believe is fraudulent, use the "Report this listing" option on the listing page. We review reports but cannot guarantee a specific response time or outcome.
Furniture pickup typically requires meeting someone in person. We recommend meeting in a public place or well-lit area when possible, bringing another person with you, and telling someone else where you're going. Bay Area Home Market is not responsible for what happens during an in-person meetup arranged through the platform.
The platform and all listings are provided "as is." We make no warranty about the accuracy of any listing, the condition of any item, or the identity or intentions of any user.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bay Area Home Market is not liable for any damages arising from a transaction, meetup, or interaction between users, including property damage, financial loss, or personal injury.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
